Lakehead Equestrian Team

In 2011 Shandelle & Kayleigh created the Lakehead Equestrian Team and call The Dell Farm home.

The Lakehead Equestrian Team is a student run organization at the Lakehead University here in Thunder Bay, Ont. They provide their members with the opportunity to compete in the USA on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).

The Equestrian team provides Lakehead University students with the unique opportunity to be a part of a group of equine enthusiasts and expand their experience in the equestrian world.

The Lakehead Equestrian Team is not a varsity sporty, therefore most of the funding comes from the team members pockets. The Team would like to thank their sponsors. (Stay tuned for a complete list of team sponsors)

The Lakehead Equestrian Team is open to all genders, ages and experiences!
The Lakehead Equestrian Team is very simple to join - simply show up to the meetings!
It is not required that you show in order for you to be a part of the team.
We also incorporate volunteer opportunities, fun meetings and general equine-related events
