Our People

Leila Farmer

Leila is one of the owners at The Dell Farm.  Over the course of her career she has brought students along form the grass roots level to international competition in both hunters and jumpers.  Leila is also double certified with USEF as both 'r' hunter and 'r' jumper course designer.  She has decades of experience caring for horses and maintaining them at an elite level of performance.  No longer coaching, Leila's focus has shifted to her own riding passions and family but she is always around the barn to help and give advice to up and coming riders.

Luke Farmer

Luke attended Olds College Farrier Program in 2005 graduating in the top 5 of his class. After years working throughout Manitoba and Ontario, he was invited to sit on the board for the American Association of Professional Farriers (2016-2019).  Luke now resides in Murillo, ON with his wife and two daughters.  Together they run a horse training and lesson facility we well as the farrier business.

Jennie Farmer

The oldest daughter of Luke and Leila Farmer, Jennie Farmer began riding before she could walk.  Growing up on the farm, she has had the opportunity to ride many different types of horses and ponies.  Competing all her life, Jennie has shown ponies and horses all over North America including Angelstone Tournaments, Gulf Coast Classic circuit, Lamplight Tournaments and Manitoba Hunter Jumper Association circuit.  Her recent achievements have been taking part in the Emerging Athletes Program run by the United States Hunter Jumper Association and winning the Team Cup Challenge at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.
